Advanced Air Mobility
Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) is a set of emerging technologies that are coming together to form an aviation system that will contribute to the efficiency of the United States intermodal transportation network.
Subsets of AAM are:
-
Urban Air Mobility (UAM): Small aircraft designed to carry passengers and cargo at lower altitudes in urban and suburban areas.
-
Regional Air Mobility (RAM): A system that will direct these aviation systems to areas where there is limited connectivity to the national network of airports and commerce centers.
AAM includes activities to the aviation transportation system and will used in public services such as first responder and medical delivery, cargo delivery and could include the development of private or recreational vehicles.
